Our History
Malitbog Municipality was established in 1932 after separating from its mother municipality. The name "Malitbog" is derived from a local term that refers to the turbulent waters of the river that flows through the town.
In its early years, the municipality was primarily an agricultural community, with farming and fishing as the main sources of livelihood. Throughout the decades, Malitbog has transformed from a simple rural town into a progressive municipality while preserving its rich cultural heritage.
